Dave Whelan: FA charges Wigan chairman for newspaper comments
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has been charged by the Football Association over comments he made about Jewish and Chinese people in an interview.
Whelan, 77, has apologised for the comments and has until 18:00 GMT on 5 December to respond to the FA charge.
It is alleged his original statements were "abusive and/or insulting and/or constitute improper conduct and/or bring the game into disrepute".
Whelan has also insisted that he was misquoted in the newspaper interview.

The point of this is that there are so many reasons to dislike and criticize Vincent Tan but being Chinese isn't one of them. This was lazy of McKay and Moody because Vincent Tan is actually Malaysian not Chinese. It is clear that McKay and Moody were under pressure and looking for a quick tool to hurl an insult.
Of note is that Vincent Tan has been awarded several non-compete business contracts in Malaysia because of his close ties to government officials. I'll leave you to fill in the gaps.

This is like a dream come true. Two of the biggest culprits who dragged West Ham through the mud and cost us dearly.
First Sheffield Utd dragged down to the pits with the Evans issue and now the perpetrator at Wigan.
You couldn't wish for better!

What ever the rights and wrongs of Whelan and McKay. This is Wigan we are talking about who were the instigators of the witch hunt against us which left us financially struggling for several years, and dragged our name through the mud. I wish all those connected with Wigan and Sheff U. nothing but bad luck, and hope this leads to action by the FA.
